Jesus Christ I've been a slacker....
Well, i survived EKA experience...it was nice seeing friends/family/familiar faces...I can now fully understand why it is sometimes described as Twin Peaks esque up there...bizarro world indeed...
Since I've been back, it's been mostly time spent re-adjusting to my real life...
I had a birthday a couple of weeks ago...we went to Largo to see The Section Quartet...they were great, by some bizarre happenstance we got the best seats in the house...even Linda Perry was stuck sitting in the back...so weird...i didn't know the woman heckling them the whole time was her until later....
The Billy Nayer Show came through again, it's always nice to see them...an instore appearance at Amoeba followed by a full house AFI sponsored screening of their film, THE AMERICAN ASTRONAUT, at the Arclight (a fancy pants theater where a lot of premieres happen for those of you who don't know). I love when they come to town because Lovely,Lovely gets just as excited about it as i do...
Speaking of her, Lovely, Lovely volunteers at a local cat shelter everyweek...i went this past one also, since we've been talking about getting one of our own...we've decided on a cat named Pazooti(I Think that's right), a name which will quickly be put to the side in favour of one from a Jane's Addiction song : My Cat's Name Is Maceo...
I had to put her on the red eye to Boston last night as her step-grandfather passed away and she's needed for emotional support/abuse....it seems like i just got her back and now off she goes again.....i miss coming home from work and seeing her working away on the sofa....and i miss her warmth next to me at night...
gosh i didn't sleep well....
